Director Aaron Kaufman's film URGE is being released On Demand and into select theatres today, and we have an EXCLUSIVE CLIP that provides a bloody look at the chaos it contains.
Written by Kaufman, Jason Zumwalt and Jerry Stahl, URGE tells the following story:
A weekend getaway takes a dangerous turn when a mysterious nightclub owner (Pierce Brosnan) introduces a group of friends to a new designer drug. Stripped of their inhibitions, they start living out their wildest fantasies – but what starts out as a fun night of partying quickly turns deadly, as the island paradise deteriorates into a tropical madhouse.
Brosnan's co-stars include Justin Chatwin, Ashley Greene, Danny Masterson, Alexis Knapp, and Alison Lohman.
URGE hadn't fully been on my radar to this point, but after watching this clip it has jumped to the top of my "must see" list. I'm definitely going to try to check it out as soon as possible.
The clip is set in an emergency room packed with people suffering from the side effects of the drug called Urge, either because they took the drug themselves or were attacked by someone who did. Through a character played by Kevin Corrigan, this 88 second video gives a very good idea of the shocking horror the drug causes.
