If you enjoy your scary and vicious spirits in film, then WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT may just be right up your alley! This new film is about a family tormented by poltergeists (sounds familiar) during a black out in 1974 England. A creepy thought though, well we have a creepy and disturbing exclusive debut for you, with this brand new poster for the film! This alone has me sold, and I really want to check this number out!
WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT is based on this supposed true story: Yorkshire, 1974. Britain is in recession, the oil crisis and black outs loom large. The Maynard family move into their dream house, only to find a “presence” already living there. Len, Jenny and their daughter Sally must struggle to keep their already-fragile family together as they are attacked by poltergeists. Soon it becomes apparent that Sally is their main focus of attention. The house becomes a living nightmare. They must exorcise the evil spirits for them to survive.
The film was written and directed by Pat Holden, it stars Gary Lewis, Kate Ashfield, Martin Compston and Steve Waddington. Take a look at the exclusive poster below; be sure to click to enlarge.
