If you haven't noticed by now, we here at AITH are big supporters of the VOLUMES OF BLOOD low-budget horror anthology series. If you haven't seen the films yet, I suggest you check them out asap. That said, we are also very excited to check out Tyler Amm's upcoming horror-comedy BUTCHER THE BAKERS, which you can check out the article on that film HERE.
Now, if you live in or around Indiana I have some cool news for you. The 2017 MayDay Film Festival is set to kick off this weekend in Evansville, Indiana. And even cooler still is the fest will be holding a grindhouse style double-bill of BUTCHER THE BAKERS and VOLUMES OF BLOOD: HORROR STORIES.
BUTCHER THE BAKERS director Tyler Amm on the double-bill:
"The Hometown Hero team is excited to be hitting festivals so quickly out the gate, and the MayDay Film Fest being our inaugural first step makes it even more exciting because it's in the backyard of our executive producer, P.J. Starks. We brought P.J. on with Butcher the Bakers and are happy to be sharing the stage with him and his upcoming release, Volumes of Blood Horror Stories. Both films have been a long time coming, so knowing your biggest supporters and fans will be there showcasing their own hard work makes it a memorable moment already."
I wish I could be there for the screening so if you are able to attend, don't pass up the opportunity. Mark my words, the filmmakers behind the scenes of these flicks are sure to big players in the horror genre within the next few years so get familiar with them today.
