On April 15th, the anthology horror film HOLIDAYS will be hitting VOD courtesy of XYZ Films/Vertical Entertainment, with a limited theatrical release to follow on April 22nd. (It will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 14th.)
A movie that I am greatly anticipating, HOLIDAYS
puts a uniquely dark and original spin on some of the most iconic and beloved holidays of all time. The film challenges our folklore, traditions and assumptions, making HOLIDAYS a celebration of the horror on those same special days’ year after year.
The segments include
St. Patrick’s Day, directed by Gary Shore (Dracula Untold); Valentine’s Day, directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch (Starry Eyes); Easter, directed by Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact); Mothers’ Day, directed by Sarah Adina Smith (The Midnight Swim); Fathers’ Day, directed by Anthony Scott Burns (Manifold); Christmas, directed by Scott Stewart (Dark Skies); and Hollow Ian, directed by Kevin Smith (Clerks).
Just in time for Easter, we have an EXCLUSIVE clip to share with you from Nicholas McCarthy’s Easter, a segment that is likely to be quite controversial with viewers. I’m told it may be the most messed up segment within the film, and you can get a taste of it right here:
