Nicholas Hoult is a rarity in Hollywood. When he was a child, he gave a fantastic performance in the terrific ABOUT A BOY opposite Hugh Grant. Generally when a young actor has that kind of success early on they have trouble transitioning into the older, more mature roles. Not Mr. Hoult however. Over the past few years he has seamlessly found success in such films as A SINGLE MAN, CLASH OF THE TITANS, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS as well as leading roles in the upcoming JACK THE GIANT KILLER and MAD MAX: FURY ROAD.
With his early success, I expected that he may be ultra-serious or slightly reserved. Certainly he is serious about his work, but he is also really a terrific guy. We talked about his take on the zombie world and the art of playing “R.” While I was already a fan of his, I am an even bigger one after meeting him face to face. Truth be told both he and Teresa Palmer are fantastic in WARM BODIES (READ ARROW’S REVIEW HERE), I highly recommend you go check it out when it opens this Friday at a theatre near you.
