If you are familiar with the names Katniss, Peeta and Gale, you are most likely ready for a brand new adventure with the cinematic release of THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE. While Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth return, there are a few new cast members that will become tributes for the games. Two of the new players include the talented twosome Jena Malone and Sam Claflin. As Finnick and Johanna respectively, the two characters are wonderfully played by this duo in the impressive sequel.
Recently I had the opportunity to talk with the cast of CATCHING FIRE, including the very lovely and charming Malone as well as the striking (and also pretty charming) Claflin. During our conversation we spoke about expectations from the fans, and why Jena’s own sister didn’t want her to play the role. Either way, in my humble opinion the two ended up to be perfectly cast and bring real life into this impressive franchise. And in case you didn’t notice, THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE opens this Friday at a theatre near you.
