If you read any of my reviews out of this year's Sundance, you'll know I went nuts for THE GUEST. A nifty throwback/tongue-in-cheek homage to eighties movies, THE GUEST is like THE TERMINATOR meets THE HITCHER by way of THE BOURNE IDENTITY. Director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett have had a long and fruitful run together, culminating in last year's sleeper hit YOU'RE NEXT. If anything, THE GUEST is an even more creative mix of horror, comedy and action and I was lucky enough to get the opportunity at TIFF (where it played Midnight Madness) to sit down with Wingard and Barrett for an extended interview. Among other things, we discussed the amazing soundtrack, and the ingenious, against-type casting of DOWNTON ABBEY heartthrob Dan Stevens.
