Ex. Zach Galifianakis and Zoe Saldana discuss Missing Link and Laika!

When it comes to animation, some of the best and most creative features have been crafted from a little stop-motion company called Laika. I’ve been a fan of their work since CORALINE, and have yet to be disappointed. Thankfully, their latest fantasy is yet another wonderfully charming fable with a ton of heart and humor. MISSING LINK features Hugh Jackman as an explorer looking to make a name for himself, and Zach Galifianakis as the mythical beast he discovers. Add to that the incredibly talented Zoe Saldana, and you have a wonderful feature that is gorgeous to look at, with a story that will delight fans everywhere.

Recently we sat down with both Zach Galifianakis and Zoe Saldana to chat about their latest. When it came to Zach, he opened up about bringing this urban myth to life, yet his praise for the incredible folks at Laika was certainly clear. This is a terrific character, and what he brought to it was instantly charismatic and sweet. The actor is especially terrific here, and he along with Zoe Saldana and Hugh Jackman make for a perfect voice cast.

As for Ms. Saldana, it was a real pleasure discussing her work in this terrific film. She talked about where the characters accent came from, and she also opened up about why she enjoys playing the underdog in films like this and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. If you like great storytelling and beautifully written characters with gorgeous cinematography, you should most definitely check out MISSING LINK this weekend. This is yet another win for Laika.
