We talk sharks and more with the cast of 47 Meters Down: Uncaged!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

One of my favorite cinematic offerings as of late happens to be killer animal flicks. Especially sharks. This includes 2017’s 47 METERS DOWN featuring Mandy Moore and Claire Holt, directed by Johannes Roberts. Well, the sharks are back with 47 METERS DOWN: UNCAGED, and this time, they are even more fierce and they have a few more human snacks to try out. The new flick stars Sistine Stallone (Sylvester’s daughter), Corrine Foxx (Jamie Foxx’s daughter), Sophie Nélisse, Brianne Tju, Davi Santos and Kylin Rhambo. And as the title suggests, there are no cages… this time, the unlucky and unprepared divers are stuck in an underground city where they desperately try to survive the brutal attacks.

Recently, we had the chance to chat with several of the stars of 47 METERS DOWN: UNCAGED. First up, we spoke to Corrine Foxx, Sistine Stallone and Sophie Nélisse. The three were incredibly charming as they discussed working with Mr. Roberts, and just how much training they had before they found themselves face to face with a bunch of massive beasts and spending a ton of time in the water. The three also talked about some of their own personal favorite shark flicks.

Next up, we spoke with Brianne Tju, Davi Santos and Kylin Rhambo. While Tju spent most of her time with the girls, both Davi and Kylin arrive to add up the fear factor. After all, the more the merrier when it comes to killer sharks. The three opened up about their own relationship/fear of sharks, as well as what it was like working on this film with Johannes Roberts. Thankfully, the director saw fit to give us a likable cast and a few intense shark sequences for a solid sequel to the original. 47 METERS DOWN: UNCAGED takes a bite of the box office this weekend!
