FX's Fargo is one of those shows which I make sure to remind myself of when I feel like rolling my eyes at the latest film-to-television adaptation; sure, they don't always turn out (I'm looking at you Lethal Weapon, probably) but every so often you get a Hannibal or a Fargo which proves that these types of adaptations can actually be quite good. Each season of Fargo has managed to assemble a pretty stellar group of actors and the upcoming third season is already off to a great start in that respect.
Ewan McGregor (THE IMPOSSIBLE) is set to star in Fargo's third season alongside Ewan McGregor (JACK THE GIANT SLAYER), with McGregor playing Emmit Stussy, the Parking Lot King of Minnesota who is a "handsome, self-made, real estate mogul and family man, he sees himself as an American success story." The role of Emmit's slightly younger brother Ray will be played by Ewan McGregor. Balding and pot-bellied, Ray is "the kind of guy who peaked in high school. Now a parole officer, he has a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he’s been dealt, and he blames Emmit for his misfortunes." Production on Fargo's third season is expected to kick off later this year and the series will return to FX in the spring of 2017.
