After facing off against the predatory entity known as Pennywise the Clown in IT, Sophia Lillis will thankfully have a less terrifying mystery to solve in the upcoming NANCY DREW AND THE HIDDEN STAIRCASE, a new feature-film based upon the teenage sleuth created by Edward Stratemeyer all the way back in 1930.
Directed by Katt Shea (POISON IVY) and produced by Ellen DeGeneres, NANCY DREW AND THE HIDDEN STAIRCASE follows Nancy (Lillis), a smart high schooler with a penchant for keen observation and deduction, who stumbles upon the haunting of a local home. A bit of an outsider struggling to fit into her new surroundings, Nancy and her pals set out to solve the mystery, make new friends, and establish their place in the community. The film also stars Zoe Renee (The Quad), Mackenzie Graham (The Purge), Laura Slade Wiggins (Shameless), Sam Trammell (True Blood), Linda Lavin (Alice), and Andrea Anders (Better Off Ted).
NANCY DREW AND THE HIDDEN STAIRCASE will hit theaters on March 15, 2019.
