Every episode of The Simpsons will be available to stream on Disney+

Today has been a big day for Disney and anyone anxious to see what the upcoming streaming service will offer, and as expected, a lot of the content included will be programming coming over from their Fox acquisition. That means we can expect to see lots of movies and shows from the Fox canon on the service, and that includes one of the most popular TV shows of all time, THE SIMPSONS, which will permanently call Disney+ its new streaming home as every episode from all 30 seasons will be included. While Netflix may have binge-worthy comedies like THE OFFICE, FRIENDS, PARKS AND REC and more available on their service, no doubt keeping many people subscribed, Disney+ now has some serious ammo of their own with THE SIMPSONS. Sure there will be others on there, like MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, but THE SIMPSONS is one of the most beloved series of all time with hundreds and hundreds of episodes (659, to be exact) across the over two dozen seasons. If you want to talk about binging a certain series, spending time with the family from Springfield, [Insert State Name Here] will be worth the $6.99 monthly charge alone.

But The Simpson’s won’t be alone, and as we covered in a previous piece, Disney+ will have plenty of content to choose from on Day 1. There will be tons of Marvel movies, Star Wars content (including the original show, THE MANDALORIAN), content from Nat Geo, Disney animated movies, Pixar animated movies and so much more. At that low price, other streaming big wigs will have a massive new competitor on the market, and in terms of family-friendly content, Disney+ will have no equal, which may it’s most important card it has to play.

There have been plenty of networks and companies planning their own streaming services, with The Criterion Channel launching this week for all cinephiles to bask in. However, while Netflix, Amazon and Hulu (now mostly owned by Disney) have been the top dogs, Disney+ is looking to give them all a worthy new competitor from the day it officially launches. Anyone already looking at their pocketbooks and wondering what services they can afford to subscribe to will soon have some more tough choices to make.

Disney+ will launch on November 12, 2019.
