The time has arrived for a new episode of our video series Show Me the Sequel, and in this one we’re requesting a sequel to the 1997 sci-fi horror film Event Horizon (watch it HERE), which was directed by Paul W.S. Anderson back before he got into the Resident Evil business. To hear what we’d like to see in a follow-up to Event Horizon, check out the video embedded above!
Scripted by Philip Eisner, Event Horizon has the following synopsis:
When the Event Horizon, a spacecraft that vanished years earlier, suddenly reappears, a team is dispatched to investigate the ship. Accompanied by the Event Horizon’s creator, William Weir, the crew of the Lewis and Clark, led by Capt. Miller, begins to explore the seemingly abandoned vessel. However, it soon becomes evident that something sinister resides in its corridors, and that the horrors that befell the Event Horizon’s previous journey are still present.
The film stars Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, Joely Richardson, Richard T. Jones, Jack Noseworthy, Jason Isaacs, and Sean Pertwee.
The Show Me the Sequel series is about
genre films that either never got sequels and we feel it’s long overdue, fine movies that did get sequels but they were so lackluster that going back to square one is a must, or… flicks that DO have sequels but hey, we want freaking MORE of them! On top of that, we put our pitch for what said sequel should be about!
The Event Horizon episode was Written by Emilie Black, Narrated and Edited by Lance Vlcek, Produced by John Fallon, and Berge Garabedian is the Executive Producer.
