Even though he was approached, Antonio Banderas doesn’t have time to do The Expendables 2

Sylvester Stallone likes to go after his buddies in action. One that he recently reached out to was Antonio Banderas. Wait…how do they know each other again? Oh yes, they did a little film called ASSASSINS back in ’95.

I always see that movie in the $5 bin at Wal-Mart yet I never seem to remember that it was ever made. It was a decent flick written by the Wachowski siblings.

Apparently Stallone asked Banderas if he wanted a role in THE EXPENDABLES 2, “They asked me to do it, I don’t think at this point I will have the time. I am very disappointed that it didn’t work out. But you never know I will have to talk to Sly.” I guess there’s always room for him in The Expendables 3, right?

It’s really okay. The film already has a crap ton of actors in it: Randy Couture, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Scott Adkins, and Liam Hemsworth. But I’m sure that’s not everyone so far. There’s still rumor of Nic Cage and John Travolta. Mickey Rourke said he was not returning, but they don’t really need him anyway.
