Being a superhero is a physically demanding job, what with all the jumping, punching, flying and quipping. In order to accomplish said feats, one has to keep in shape, and that means building those muscles until they look like they could take on a life of their own. ANT-MAN & THE WASP star Evangeline Lilly has hit that milestone as her arms officially look like they have their own six packs.
Lilly posted the photo as a way of signifying she has begun shooting on the superhero sequel, in which she plays Hope Van Dyne a.k.a. The Wasp. She will team up with Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang/Ant-Man, and together the two will shrink down to pint sizes to deliver serious beatdowns.
During the course of the original ANT-MAN Lilly’s Dyne was the one who helped Lang train, teaching how to dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge – but memorably how to throw a punch. She looked pretty fit and tough there too, but this is a whole new level of shredded. DEADPOOL 2 actor Josh Brolin has been getting notably beefy too, so hopefully, the two will find a way to square off sometime soon.
Lilly seems to be taking her upgraded place in the franchise very seriously, as she will now get to don the suit and fight alongside Lang as opposed to simply advising him. Based on her new look we can hope she will get some sweet fight scenes to be a part of as she shows off why she was the best person to demonstrate how to throw a punch.
ANT-MAN & THE WASP arrives July 6, 2018.
