A lot of films offer some sort of contest which provides the winner with the opportunity to attend a Hollywood premiere; while most of them are pretty run-of-the-mill, some offer something special as well as providing the winner with a great opportunity that goes beyond schmoozing with celebrities on the red carpet.
Marvel, Disney, Visa, Dolby Laboratories, and Raspberry Pi have teamed up to bring us Marvel’s Ant-Man Micro-Tech Challenge, a nationwide competition which encourages girls aged 14-18 (Grades 9-12) to "create and share micro-technology based DIY projects they have built using readily accessible and found materials." In case you'd rather hear Evangeline Lilly talk about the competition rather than myself (what does she have that I don't?), check out the video below:

This is definitely a very cool opportunity for many young women interested in engineering and science, so feel free to share this and send them over to the Ant-Man Micro-Tech Challenge site to learn more and apply. The competition is underway right now and will conclude on June 11, 2015. ANT-MAN will hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
