If you were a devoted viewer of the television series The Vampire Diaries, you may be familiar with actor Evan Gamble, who played the character Henry Wattles in five episodes that were spaced out over the course of the show's eight season run. His first appearance came in season one, his last in season eight.
The Vampire Diaries is over now, and Gamble has just landed a role on a different genre TV series – leaving the vampires behind to face off with zombies.
Gamble is the latest addition to the cast of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead, which will be heading into its fourth season in a few months. He's taking on the role of Ennis, "a rough-around-the edges type who only really cares about himself." Which doesn't sound like the sort of person you want to be hanging out with during the zombie apocalypse.
Fear the Walking Dead season 4's returning cast members include Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Ruben Blades, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, and Ray McKinnon. Among Gamble's fellow newcomers are Kevin Zegers in a mystery role; Maggie Grace as Althea, a woman "uniquely qualified to survive"; Garret Dillahunt as John, "a man of fascinating contradictions"; Jenna Elfman as Naomi, a survivor who has "a very good reason for keeping people at a distance"; and Lennie James as Morgan Jones, his character from Fear's companion series The Walking Dead.
In season four of Fear the Walking Dead, we will see the world of Madison Clark and her family through new eyes — the eyes of Morgan Jones, joining the story from the world of The Walking Dead. The characters’ immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes and threats. They fight for each other, against each other and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart. There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven, all crashing together towards a new reality for Fear the Walking Dead.
Fear the Walking Dead season 4 premieres at 10pm on Sunday, April 15th, immediately following the season 8 finale of The Walking Dead.
