Eugene Cordero played Casey in the first season of Loki, the Time Variance Authority employee who kept a drawer full of Infinity Stones that he used as paperweights. Deadline has reported that we can expect to see more of the actor in the upcoming second season of the series as he’s been upped to a series regular. In addition to playing Casey in Loki, Eugene Cordero also played a variant known as Hunter K-5E who appeared in the finale.
The second season of Loki was recently teased at the D23 Expo. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige welcomed Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino on stage, where they revealed that Ke Hey Quan (Everything Everywhere All At Once) would also be joining the cast. Hiddleston teased that the new season will pick up right where the first season left off. “Loki is back at the TVA, he’s had a very difficult confrontation with Sylvie, and Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t know who he is,” Hiddleston said. The first season introduced Jonathan Majors as He Who Remains, whose evil variant Kang the Conqueror will be the big bad of The Multiverse Saga starting with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Feige teased that the second season will also directly connect the the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, but wouldn’t spill any details on how.
Eugene Cordero was most recently seen starring alongside Jo Koy and Tia Carrere in Easter Sunday. The comedy stars Koy as a man returning home for an Easter celebration with his riotous, bickering, eating, drinking, laughing, loving family, in this love letter to his Filipino-American community. Our own JimmyO caught up with Jo Koy, Tia Carrere, and other members of the Easter Sunday cast this summer, and you can check out those interviews right here.
