The Phil Claydon-directed CRAWLSPACE, a New Line horror movie that they hope will follow in the low-budget success of THE CONJURING, has just landed its leading lady in the form of Erin Moriarty (pictured), who just had her breakout role as Woody Harrelson's daughter in "True Detective", reports Variety. The story follows a relocated family who moves into a new home where the previous inhabitants mysteriously were killed by a murderer living in the walls.
Gary Dauberman penned the script. Dave Neustadter and Walter Hamada will oversee for New Line.
CRAWLSPACE is about a family that moves into a new house and immediately falls prey to strange occurrences. But what seems like a traditional supernatural thriller gets twisty when the rug is pulled from under both the family and the audience.
Besides her role in “True Detective,” Moriarty has slowly begun building a resume with strong supporting roles in films like “Kings of Summer” and Fox’s “The Watch.” She can be seen next in Universal’s OUIJA.
