In what feels like a story ripped right from the show itself, ENTOURAGE is finally moving forward after some back-and-forth with the cast in terms of getting their deals straight. Since that's all "behind closed doors" stuff we can only assume that there was some ENTOURAGE-style dialogue being tossed around by Mark Wahlberg, show creator Doug Ellin, and studio execs as deals were negotiated for returning castmembers Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jeremy Piven, Jerry Ferrara, and Kevin Dillon. Now, it appears that the film go before the lens in January 2014, nearly a year since it was announced, with Ellin tweeting:
It's a go. love you all. pic.twitter.com/KcIPV5fqR8

Personally speaking, I dug the show and will likely catch the movie. It was a lot of fun and while it had some lags at times, it ended on a strong note for me. I know that not everyone feels the same and there's a resounding group of folks who are vehemently against a movie version of the show, and that's just fine. I'm game, though. It's always been about the cast and having the boys back together is enough for me. Shit, having Ari (Piven) back onscreen is enough for me. In fact, I'd argue for a movie just about Ari if ENTOURAGE doesn't pan out.
ENTOURAGE is looking toward a January production start for a yet-to-be-determined release date.
