The streaming wars continue to rage on, and it seems that not a day goes by when we don't see something from one of the hundreds of shows being developed for dozens of streaming services. Today, Apple dropped the first trailer for Amazing Stories, a new incarnation of Steven Spielberg's 1980s anthology series of the same name which will debut on the Apple TV+ streaming service. The series is set to "transport the audience to worlds of wonder through the lens of today’s most imaginative filmmakers, directors and writers."

Steven Spielberg is an executive producer on the reimagining of Amazing Stories, as are Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz, who also serve as showrunners. The trailer gives us a peek at the first five episodes, which feature appearances from actors such as Kerry Lynn Bishe (Halt and Catch Fire), Dylan O’Brien (THE MAZE RUNNER), Victoria Pedretti (The Haunting of Hill House), Josh Holloway (Lost), and Sasha Lane (HELLBOY). In a bit of a bittersweet note, the trailer also features an appearance from the late Robert Forster, in what will be the actor's final performance. Forster will star in Dynoman and the Volt, which surrounds an awkward tween boy and his grandpa (Forster) who wrestle with feeling powerless, until a superhero ring Grandpa ordered out of the back of a comic book arrives 50 years late and has the power to turn them into actual superheroes.

Amazing Stories will debut on Apple TV+ on March 6, 2020.
