Yeah, that title’s probably gonna change.
Deadline is reporting that Emma Stone (GANGSTER SQUAD, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) is in negotiations to headline HE’S FUCKIN’ PERFECT, a comedic spec script purchased by Fox from 29-year-old first-time screenwriter Lauryn Kahn.
As has seemingly been the trend of late, the film is said to dive into the world of social media, focusing “on a social media savvy girl who is pessimistic about love and vets her friends’ dates to find flaws. When that process leads her to uncover the perfect guy, she decides to use her internet research skills to turn herself into his perfect match.”
Project is being produced by Gary Sanchez’s Adam McKay and Will Ferrell. In fact, the Gary Sanchez team helped Kahn “hone the script”. Kahn, while being a newcomer to feature-length writing, has had plenty of experience in the Sanchez comedy world as she’s written, performed, and directed numerous shorts for Funny Or Die.
As for Stone, she recently wrapped filming her part as Gwen Stacy in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN and is now currently in production on Ruben Fleischer’s period crime drama GANGSTER SQUAD, opposite Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin.
