Emma Roberts is gaga for American Horror Story, aiming for a season 6 return

Emma Roberts, Ryan Murphy's new favorite Scream Queen, was once rumored to appear in the current season of American Horror Story, subtitled Hotel. However, in an interview with Yahoo!, she admitted that circumstances prevented that from happening:

We tried to make it work, but I’m leaving town to go do a movie and they’re shooting the last two episodes right now.

With the finale of Scream Queens premiering this Tuesday, she needs another stepping stone, and she just might get it in the as yet untitled season 6 of AHS. She said:

Ryan and I said next season we’ll do something amazing and devilish. I love this season, I watch most of it with my eyes closed, but I think I get the gist. I love Lady Gaga so much, so I was like, “Next season I want to work with Lady Gaga for sure.

Now, the prospect of Lady Gaga and Emma Roberts in the same show might give certain fans queasy stomachs, love her or hate her, she does have a talent for handling the interminable monologues that Murphy so adores. Plus, while Hotel has been divisive, Gaga is certainly not the weakest link of the season. So this could be interesting, if not an era of masterpiece television.
