I have never seen an episode of the television series Schitt's Creek, but I want to get around to watching it one of these days. I've heard good things, plus it stars Eugene Levy, Catherine O'Hara, and Chris Elliott. Sounds promising. But I'll probably see the show's cast member Emily Hampshire in something else before I get to Schitt's Creek – the project she is currently working on, the psychological horror movie called HOME.
Directed by Adam O'Brien of Delirium Pictures from a screenplay by Philip Kalin-Hajdu, HOME is set
after the death of a couple’s newborn son, which leads to the couple separating. Alone in her house, she is convinced that her son is still alive, unaware that the death of her baby has caused the birth of something terribly sinister.
O'Brien says Hampshire is going to "surprise everyone" with her performance in this film. Kalin-Hajdu adds that
This part was meant for Emily and what she’s creating has gone beyond any of our expectations – she’s incredible."
Kalin-Hadju is producing the film with Benoit Beaulieu. Hampshire will be earning her first executive producer credit on this project.
HOME began filming in Montreal on August 13th. We'll keep you updated on it as it moves through production and toward release.
Genre fans may also be familiar with Emily Hampshire from her role on the Syfy series 12 Monkeys, which is another show I need to get around to watching someday.
