TERMINATOR: GENISYS was an unremarkable flop in the States, but never underestimate the power of international box office. After raking in a $440 million worldwide haul, of course the movie will be getting a sequel. However, the producers have delayed the scheduled film so they can retool the franchise.
Evidently, that retooling involves setting loose Emilia Clarke, who played the film's updated version of Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor. In an interview with ComingSoon.net, the actress was asked if she was returning. She stated simply:
No. Can I say that? It’s okay. No. Uh-uh. But I have some very different roles coming up.
Yeah, very different roles. We don't yet know what direction the franchise will be taking, but let's hope Jai Courtney isn't asked to shoulder the burden all on his lonesome. More details as this story breaks!
