How many horror movies involve innocent families, groups of teenagers, passerby, that get caught in the middle of a really bad situation? In other words: shit his the fan but it’s not their shit to begin with. After Dark Films is currently trying to develop a little film called TRANSIT that’s just like that.
Here’s the down-low: Antonio Negret is directing the drama about a band of thieves on the run from a bank robbery and the suburban family they come across during their escape. When the criminals stash their stolen money in the family’s SUV at a rest stop, the road trippers unwittingly draw the murderous band of outlaws on their trail.
Now what those bank robbers are thinking is beyond me. Why would anyone wanna stash their payload inside an SUV? I’m trying to be open here but so far I’ve got no idea why. Oh well. They write it, people watch it. It appears that Elisabeth Rohm (ABDUCTION) is set to star as the mother of the family while Harold Perrineau (MATRIX) and Diora Baird (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNINGS) will be playing the bank robbers.
Now while the premise may seem a little out of whack with reality, things could get ugly…in a good way. After Dark films have been known for a few good turnouts so keep a close eye on this one. Is this a film about a stupid decision or two hours of a good time? You tell me. Strike back below with your comments!
Diora Baird, gentlemen.
