You’d think that with his recent gigs producing movies and TV shows, acting and opening his own haunted house tourist attractions, Eli Roth would slow down a bit. Nope! In fact, the man just scored himself a new directing gig with the horror-thriller THE GREEN INFERNO. While no plot details are available at this point, we do know Roth co-wrote the screenplay with Guillermo Amoedo, based on his own original story and is set to begin filming in Peru and Chile come fall. Worldview Entertainment will produce and finance.
Here’s what the man himself had to say about his latest project:
“I’ve had an amazing few years producing, writing and acting, and am very excited to get back in the director’s chair. I’ve been working on this idea for several years, and was inspired by filming in Chili and cannot wait to get back. Worldview backs my vision and believes in me, and is giving me the support I need and the freedom to take risks and make something daring and terrifying.”
We’re looking forward to learning more about this one.
