Eden Lake is R

This really shouldn’t be of any surprise. Considering how hardcore the film’s trailer is, the world would have to have gone crazy for the MPAA to rate it any less.

That’s right, the UK horror flick EDEN LAKE has been slapped with a nice, juicy R rating by the MPAA for strong brutal violence, pervasive language, some nudity and brief drug use. Very nice!

In case some of ya’ll aren’t in the know, EDEN LAKE is about a young couple, refusing to let anything spoil their romantic weekend break, confront a gang of loutish youths with terrifyingly brutal consequences.

As soon as I saw the trailer, this flick jumped on my must-see list. And did you know it’s hitting select theaters on Halloween? You’re damn right it is! What better way to celebrate the holiday than to catch a hardcore R rated horror flick in the theater? That said, consider yourself one of the lucky ones if your town is rockin’ the super limited release of EDEN LAKE on October 31st… as for the rest of us, we will have to wait until January 6th to catch it on DVD.
