After being hit by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake along Puerto Rico's Southern coast last Tuesday, the Disney+ Marvel Studios series THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER has suspended its Puerto Rico location shoot. For a time, it appeared as if production would continue as planned, though a recent report by Deadline suggests that the show will most likely be scouting for a new location, Originally, Falcon and Winter Soldier had arranged for a two-week production shoot in the now-damaged area. Sadly for the citizens of Puerto Rico, another quake had emerged this past Saturday, triggering an event that measured 5.9 on the Richter Scale.
When THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER swoops onto Disney+, the series will see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan respectively reprising their roles as the Falcon and Bucky Barnes. Details related to the plot are being kept under wraps at this time, though we do know that Daniel Bruhl will be returning to the MCU spinoff as the villain Zemo.
While I sincerely hope that Puerto Rico's situation doesn't set THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER back too far, my first concern is of course for the good people of picturesque island.
