Dylan O’Brien faces the Monsterpocalypse in trailer for Love and Monsters

Paramount Pictures have released the first trailer for LOVE AND MONSTERS, previously known as MONSTER PROBLEMS, a post-apocalyptic romantic comedy that stars Dylan O'Brien (THE MAZE RUNNER) as Joel Dawson, a young man who starts searching for his high-school girlfriend seven years after giant monsters have wiped out most of the human race. Emerging from his underground bunker, Dawson soon finds himself over his head with the huge amount of dangerous monsters roaming the landscape, but he teams up with Clyde (Michael Rooker), an expert hunter who teaches Joel how to survive the monster apocalypse. LOVE AND MONSTERS also stars Jessica Henwick and Ariana Greenblatt.

LOVE AND MONSTERS was slated to hit theaters earlier this year, but it was pushed back several times due to COVID-19 before Paramount elected to release the film via video on demand instead.

The official synopsis for LOVE AND MONSTERS:

Seven years after the Monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson (Dylan O’Brien), along with the rest of humanity, has been living underground ever since giant creatures took control of the land. After reconnecting over radio with his high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick), who is now 80 miles away at a coastal colony, Joel begins to fall for her again. As Joel realizes that there’s nothing left for him underground, he decides against all logic to venture out to Aimee, despite all the dangerous monsters that stand in his way. The fun-filled and action-packed adventure also stars Michael Rooker and Ariana Greenblatt.

LOVE AND MONSTERS will debut on PVOD on October 16, 2020.
