2015's Dying Light was a well-regarded first-person open-world survival game, which was set in a quarantined city during a zombie post-apocalypse. The highly-anticipated sequel – aptly named Dying Light 2 – had been delayed earlier this year; however, a recent Reddit post from a few days ago showed a screencap from the developers' official Discord server which stated:
We’ve been, er, dying to update you all on how development has been going. We’ll have fresh updates about Dying Light 2 coming in the new year!
Nothing official, of course, but it's nice to see that the game is still on its way, and possibly even released later this year! Meanwhile you can play the original game on consoles and PC! Here's the official description:
Dying Light is a first-person action survival game set in a post-apocalyptic open world overrun by flesh-hungry zombies. Roam a city devastated by a mysterious virus epidemic. Scavenge for supplies, craft weapons, and face hordes of the infected.
So what do you guys think? Fans of the original? If so, excited for the sequel? Either way, sound off below!
