Dwayne Johnson calls some Fast 8 co-stars “chicken shit” & “candy asses”

UPDATE:  According to TMZ, the male co-star in question that The Rock butted heads with was none other than fellow actor/producer Vin Diesel. A production source revealed that Johnson felt that Diesel "made decisions that didn't sit well" with him, hence the beef. The two apparently had a "secret" sit down meeting in Atlanta to quash the issue, which has come up just a week and a half before production wraps. It's no secret that there are some big egos involved here and while we tend to avoid catty shit like this, given that Dwayne Johnson is always such a positive force it's pretty interesting when someone riles him up enough to lash out publicly. Anyway, that's the dealio for now. Hopefully, everyone can just bro-hug and move on. – PS

F. Gary Gray has been shooting FAST 8 for some time and uploading behind-the-scenes videos when he can. The last one we saw was pretty mild, featuring Dwayne Johnson helping to couch a girl's soccer team. Pivotal plot point, undoubtedly. However, as Johnson's shooting schedule comes to an end, he had a few words to say about the production. Most notably, he lifts up the bulk of the cast and crew on their hard work, especially the women. However, it looks he didn't find some of his male co-stars very agreeable! The following was posted on his Facebook account and makes for one entertaining read!

Dwayne Johnson on shooting FAST 8:

This is my final week of shooting Fast & Furious 8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. Universal Studios Entertainment has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you're right.

Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part. Final week on FAST 8 and I will finish strong.

Johnson has always come off as a very charismatic and hard-working guy, so when he says he's been working with a couple of candy asses, I'm inclined to believe him! Not everyone you see in these action pictures are as tough as they appear! He didn't name any names, so we can only guess who he may have been talking about. Anyone up for placing any bets? Statham, perhaps? Either way, I'll definitely be watching this flick in theaters, trying to figure out who!
