Having received a theatrical and VOD release back in November, Arrow in the Head founder John Fallon's directorial debut THE SHELTER (which the LA Times called "remarkably ambitious") will now be heading to DVD on January 3rd, and distributor Uncork'd Entertainment has revealed the DVD sleeve and the list of bonus features you can expect to find on the disc.
The features are:
– VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH STAR MICHAEL PARE
– AUDIO COMMENTARY WITH WRITER/DIRECTOR JOHN FALLON
– STORYBOARDS, TEASER AND TRAILER
– VIDEO TOUR OF THE HOUSE LOCATION
About the DVD release, Fallon said:
Folks that enjoyed the film will get a lot out of the insightful Michael Paré video interview and there’s ample meat in my feature length audio commentary as well. I shared a lot of background info/trivia about the making of the picture, the odd happenings that befell us and also connected some dots as to my intent when it came to the -left up to interpretation- manner in which the story was told."
With a cast that includes Gayle James, Rachel Whittle, Lauren Thomas, Daena Turner, and Amy Wickenheiser in addition to Paré, THE SHELTER tells the following story:
Vagrant Thomas Jacob (Michael Paré of "Eddie and the Cruisers" fame) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a seemingly abandoned two-story home with its lights on and an inviting front door. Once inside, his past comes to haunt him and he soon realizes that he is not alone. There's a supernatural force on hand and it won't let him leave. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place but will he survive the ordeal?
