DVD details for Jay Woelfel’s carnival flick Closed for the Season, out in August

I told you a couple of months ago that MTI Home Video would release CLOSED FOR THE SEASON on DVD, video on demand and digitally on August 23. That was all we knew at that point, but now you can see the the cover art to the right. The special features will include a commentary track, a behind-the-scenes featurette, a tour of the theme park, webisodes, deleted scenes and trailers.

The picture is written and directed by Jay Woelfel (GHOST LAKE). Aimee Brooks (below, CRITTERS 3), Damian Maffei, Joe Unger (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET) and Will Waters star. It was filmed on location at an actual abandoned amusement park in Ohio.

CLOSED FOR THE SEASON tells the story of Kristy, who finds herself trapped inside a decaying, abandoned amusement park, with James, son of the park’s caretakers. The pair finds themselves being tormented by a mysterious carny and the long discarded and decrepit attractions of the park.
