Reno 911: Miami June 19

I’m in the minority here thinking that RENO: 911–the show–was hit or miss. There were times I found myself laughing hysterically and other times were I found myself staring at that patch of wall over the TV that I forgot to paint over. I wasn’t terribly excited to see the movie, even though the name of the flick is hilarious, and my friends who absolutely love the show found the humor in it to be spread thin. What are you gonna do.

The Sergio Leone Anthology June 5

A couple of weeks ago, we told you about the upcoming SERGIO LEONE set that’s been available in Europe for awhile and is being released in the States this June. Well below you’ll find the very cool box set cover and the individual covers for each flick. For detailed specs (of which there are a ton) head on over to our friends at DVDTIMES, who has put together a nice breakdown.

Darkman Trilogy August 7

I remember seeing the first DARKMAN at the theatre when I was a wee lad and thinking, “am I too young to be seeing this?” Then after the flick, my pops took me to my first strip club and I thought, “where have you been all my dumb little life?” The DARKMAN TRILOGY includes Darkman and Darkman II: The Return of Durant on a DVD9 (single-sided, dual layer), Darkman III: Die Darkman Die on DVD5 (single-sided, single layer) and all have new anamorphic widescreen transfers with DD5.1 Surround audio. Stay tuned for more details.

Rio Bravo (SE) May 22

There will be two seperate edition released for the Howard Hawks classic, a Special Edition and an Ultimate Collector’s Edition. Since the specs for the Ultimate Collector’s Edition hasn’t been released yet, we can’t tell the difference, but we do have the specs for the SE below. Enjoy.

Includes:

  • Commentary by Director John Carpenter and Historian/Critic Richard Schickel
2 Slam-Bang All-New Featurettes: Commemoration: Howard Hawks’ Rio Bravo, Old Tucson: Where the Legends Walked
    Career Profile
The Men Who Made the Movies: Howard Hawks
    John Wayne Westerns Trailer Gallery

The Incredible Hulk (S2) June 19

Well, Edward Norton as the Hulk huh. It was the most “out of left field” news of the week. But does it really matter when the Hulk is CGI anyway? Hmmm. The second season will be released on five-discs in Full Frame with English DD2.0 Mono audio and English SDH subtitles. No extras have been announced. When we know, you’ll know.
