Flags of Our Fathers Commemorative Edition – May 22

Eastwood’s World War II two part epic (kudos to him for sheer ambition) will be available in a five disc Commemorative Collection. The set will include both two disc special editions of Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwa Jima and also a Bonus Disc called Heroes Of Iwo Jima which features a “Heroes Of Iwo Jima” A&E documentary narrated by Gene Hackman and an Oscar Nominated 1945 short film called “To the Shores of Iwo Jima.” It also has pretty cool artwork for the cover.

Ichi the Killer (SE) – May 29

There are few things I can’t handle in this world. One of them is earthworms (don’t ask) and another is seeing a woman’s nip nips get sliced off. Somebody told me that if I thought that was bad, wait until I see AUDITION. Then I saw it and well, I found it erotic (don’t ask). The new ICHI collector’s edition will come in some kind of “blood bag” (see below).

Ghost Rider – June 12

GHOST RIDER received a 27% on RottenTomatoes, and looks like it might be this year’s CATWOMAN. Thoughts on this? Strike back below. The DVD will be released in seperate Theatrical one disc and double disc Extended versions.

Meatballs (SE) – June 5

Look at that; a special edition without one of those goofy subtitled “Extra Meatbally Edition lol?!?!111” Throw yourself into a razor blade. I remember seeing MEATBALLS as a kid but you could put a gun to my head and I couldn’t tell you one scene from it. Weren’t they trying to hide an alien or some shit? Or was that MEATBALLS 3?

Silver Spoons (S1) – June 19

How many of you wanted that little train in your house? I had the second best thing, living in a trailer. It wasn’t the same but I had a great imagination. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the show and in June, you’ll be able to show me that smile again (I know, wrong theme song). The DVD will have 22 Episodes on three discs, check out the low res artwork below. During its run, the show had guest stars that included Sharon Stone (and she was old THEN), Mr. T, Joey Lawrence (who’s now bald!), Gary Coleman and ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT star, Jason Bateman.
