CURSED: Unrated
To those of us who had the unfortunate opportunity to sit through "Dimension Film’s" not Wes Craven’s version of Cursed (see Arrow’s review here), I have some good news! According to DVDFile, Buena Vista Home Entertainment Films is actually listening to it’s fans and releasing an Unrated version to be available simultaneously with the PG-13 rated version. The two editions are both set for a June 21st date with the DVD shelves. Although no "Official" extras have been announced, there have been rumors of the following to be included with the disc…
Includes:

- Dolby Digital 5.1
- Audio Commentary with Wes Craven (This will be good)
- Behind the Fangs Featurette
- The Cursed Effects

Theatrical trailers
Two Hotties + Unrated = Good time! No word on if there are any random tit shots…We can only hope…
TALES FROM THE CRYPT: Season One
Well Kiddies, it seems as though you can finally throw away all of those Tales from the Crypt VHS tapes that we’re sitting on your closet shelf collecting unsanitary amounts of dust. It’s been a long wait for a DVD release of the hit TV series that spawned a total of seven complete seasons that included a total of 93 episodes and also producing two feature-films. The show was undoubtedly my favorite Television program growing up and I am anxiously awaiting this DVD release as you should be too! The plan is to release the first season as a 2-Disc Set. The first disc having the 6 episodes that we’re aired in Season One. The second disc will contain extra features that have yet to be announced. However, I do have the complete list of episodes, a synopsis to each and some other specs…Peep them…

- 1:33:1 Full screen version format

- English, French and Spanish subtitles
- Episode List and Synopsis

AMERICAN PSYCHO: Collector’s Edition
Another update in the DVD news comes the release of the cover art for the new American Psycho: Killer Collector’s Edition. Seems as though movie companies are realizing that they have been shitting on their best movies with mediocre DVD releases. This movie, deserves a good DVD and it looks like that’s what it is shaping up to be. If you missed the specs last week, here’s what’s coming with the American Psycho (see Arrow’s review) disc…
Includes:
- Anamorphic wide screen presentation

- Audio commentary by the cast and crew

- “Postcards from the ’80s,” an exploration of the commercial culture that defines Bateman’s character
Okay so I used this picture in the last column, but really, is there anything more refreshing than Christian Bale holding a Nail Gun? Expect maybe if he we’re holding it to Justin Timberlake’s head…that would be a plus.
Well, that’s the latest DVD News for this week kiddies. Be sure to check back next week for another column on the most up-to-date information on upcoming horror DVDs…til’ next time…“Keep the blood flowing!“
