Columbia TriStar has released some details on the "closet monster" flick that is Boogeyman (see Arrow’s review here). The film was a love it or hate it kinda film and I found it rather enjoyable up until the ending. As for the details about the DVD. We first have the date, which is set for a May 31st street release. Also, not only is this flick coming to DVD but it is also one of the first movie titles that are going to the PSP UMD format designed to play on the new Sony PSP Handheld system. Should help increase profits for the already successful movie. We also have some details on extra features that will be accompanying the flick, most notably, the Alternate ending! We’ll see if that can change the my outlook on the flick as a whole without the wasted CGI Boogeyman and flying sphere lights and all sorts of other crap. Enough rambling…here’s the low-down on the DVD…
Includes:
If this is how you expect Lucy Lawless to look in this movie, then your "dead" wrong…ha…ha…There are plenty of other hot chicks in the flick to keep you occupied though so do you and your little friend a favor and Pre Order Boogeyman Now!
Not exactly horror but it still deserves a mention on here for being such a kick ass film in the first place! The story about a man that hasn’t slept in a year and lives in a nightmare that involves visions of a co-worker that is nonexistent to everyone else is what drives The Machinist (see Arrow’s review here) The film is being set for a June 7th release and has already been given some extras to go alone with it. They are as follows…
Includes:
Following up on last week’s DVD news of a flick titled Devour in which the plot revolves around a Video Game that ultimately leaves people dead. Well Columbia has released this unbelievably dull cover that you see on the right. We’re the only colors left in the printer red and black? As for the extras…there are a few. Sad thing is, there all trailers…Enjoy
Speaking of devouring…I’ll take one order of Dominque Swain and one order of large fries to go…
What is it with Dimension Films and releasing films years after it’s been finished and ready to go? Just another movie to add to list is Nameless, a 1999 flick by
Jaume Balagueró. Ironically, Dimension is tying the films release with another slow release in it’s other dust-gatherer Darkness. Both DVD’s hit the shelves on April 26th. The movie got some good reviews from overseas and was described as being bone-chilling and dreadful! The DVD is rather bare with anamorphic wide screen and English and Spanish tracks and no extras. But hey, at least it’s coming out right? If it sells well, it will be just another mind-boggle as to why Dimension releases crap like Cursed and The Hellraiser sequels instead of movies with some quality…
Come on, you have been waiting since 1999 for this flick. Don’t wait any longer, Pre Order Nameless Now!

On the deleted/alternate scenes page on the second disc of the film, you will see a “play all” option in the middle of the screen.
