ALONE IN THE DARK

Last column, I gave you the date for Uwe Boll’s latest attempt to redeem his House of the Dead directing job. Now, I give you the cover art, which is just the movie’s original poster with Widescreen written on it. Also, the specs for the film have also been released by Lion’s Gate Home Entertainment. The DVD is being released on May 10th, and comes equipped with these features…

Includes:

  • Anamorphic wide screen presentation
  • DTS 6.1 ES and Dolby Digital 5.1 EX tracks
  • Audio commentary with director Uwe Boll (what joy…)
  • Into the Dark: The Making of Alone in the Dark featurette
  • A featurette on the visual effects of the film entitled Shedding A Light
  • Trivia
  • Music Videos
  • Storyboard to film comparisons

This picture alone reassures the fact that I would love to be Alone in the Dark with Tara Reid. If you wanna be Alone in the Dark with her too, then Pre-order it now!

RIDING THE BULLET

Lions Gate Home Entertainment has announced Riding the Bullet (see Arrow’s review here) to be hitting the DVD shelves on April 19th. Also released is the DVD Cover art that you see to the right. Not only that, but they have also released the extra features that will accompany the film. Here is what’s to be expected on the DVD that adds to Stephen King’s legacy…

  • English Dolby Digital 5.1 track
  • Director commentary
  • Cast and crew commentary
  • “Shooting the Bullet” making of featurette
  • Art of Riding the Bullet photo gallery

Show your respect to Mr. King and go to Amazon.com and pre-order this mofo right now!

SHALLOW GROUND

DVD Answers got the scoop about this little horror flick that is getting praise from many festivals called Shallow Ground (see Arrow’s review here) They also got the first look at the cover art, which is pretty sweet looking if you ask me. However, something that is rather sour than sweet is the news that the DVD comes with no special features. It does sport an anamorphic wide screen presentation and Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo sound though.

Somebody shouldn’t have left that bucket of red paint on the ledge, this is the result. If you think he looks like an idiot now, imagine how you would look if you don’t Pre-order the movie right now!

THE ENTITY

For those that remember this little "family-oriented" flick, which it’s plot revolved around a woman who is repeatedly raped by an unseen spirit, I have good news. The Entity (see Arrow’s review here) is finally being released on DVD and it’s slated for a May 3rd release. Here’s some of the extras that have been tagged along with the DVD…

Includes:

  • 2.35:1 widescreen presentation
  • 16×9 enhanced
  • Featurette including backstory on the true events that inspired the film (what the fu*k?)
  • Trailer
  • Poster/Still Gallery
  • DVD-Rom Screenplay

This flick was very effective in disturbing the shit out of me, see if it has the same effect on you and pre-order the dvd!
