From Fango comes the news of one of their own, writer Anthony C. Ferrante and his feature Boo (see Arrow’s review). Ferrante both wrote and directs the film about a group of teens who find more than first aid kits at a haunted hospital. The film is set for an October 25th release after it’s run at various festivals. The spooky extras….

KATIEBIRD: Certifiable Crazy Person

Maybe an unknown flick to most, but it’s quickly gaining notoriety as being a gritty and gruesome horror romp. Katiebird: Certifiable Crazy Person was quickly snatched up by Heretic Films and will be given a DVD release shortly, and exact date has yet to be stated. The film tells the tale of

a woman who relates her disturbed, violent past to her psychiatrist, and her past does not include jump rope and daily soccer games. A few extras have managed to surface…

THE EVIL DEAD 1 & 2: Book of the Dead Gift Set

– From the disc’s “Main Menu” go to the “Special Features”
– Highlight “On Set Peeks”
– Press the left arrow key on your remote and a test pattern will appear in the center of the screen
– Press enter and you will be taken to the “Haunts Screen” where you have a choice of viewing the Lutz’s family “Home Movies” or the “Scare Reel” from the film

– From the Commentary press the left arrow key on your remote twice, a pair of green eyes will appear in the upper left side of the screen
– Press enter and you will see how the fx crew made the errie fog scenes in the movie

The Ring Two: Unrated Edition

Time lapse clip
Select ‘Special Features’ from the DVD’s Main Menu
– Go to the second page of these features
– Keep pressing the ‘Right’ arrow key on your remote control, eventually this will highlight a question mark on the screen
– Press the ‘Enter’ and you will see a time lapse clip of actress Kelly Stables, who plays Samara getting her make up applied
