THE CROW: Wicked Prayer

Dimension Home Video’s long-awaited fourth installment into The Crow series is drawing near fast (finally). And as usual, we got the scoop on what’s coming with the latest teeny-bopper filled horror sequel. So without you waiting a couple more years, here’s the extras…

Let’s face it folks, Edward Furlong is no Brandon Lee, I mean honestly did they have to pick the 28 year old who actually still squeals with a high pitch yell? I guess there’s nobody who wants to don the black and white face paint. Hell even Sting from WCW would have sufficed..Pre-order the DVD and hope that Furlong stays relatively silent…

HELLRAISER: HELLWORLD

Dimension Home Video has released the details for the 190th installment in the Hellraiser series which has now become the Direct-to-Video franchise. The plot for this movie is even more disturbing than a Cenobite showering.

"Pinhead finds out that computer hackers have opened a virtual Lament Configuration on a web site, and retaliates as only he can." I have no energy to comment on that, I’ll just move on to the extra features…

Includes:

  • 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen
  • English Dolby Digital 5.1 track
  • Filmmaker audio commentary
  • Behind the scenes featurette entitled Ticket to Hellworld

Even Pinhead doesn’t know why they keep making these flicks. But if you can’t get enough of them Click here to pre-order Hellraiser: Hellworld to rekindle your love for Pinhead…

CONSTANTINE

One of the few good Horror-based movies of 2005 so far, was Constantine (see Arrow’s review here). No it’s not an annoying American Idol who makes all the little 12 year old’s soothe in their panties. It’s the film that pits Keanu Reeves in a fight between heaven and hell that is filled with great imagery. I particularly liked the film and enjoyed it’s dark comedy vibe. The cover art for the film is pretty damn cool and fits the film’s tone. Also released by Warner was the following specs…

Includes:

  • Both wide and full screen discs
  • English Dolby Digital 5.1
  • Eighteen minutes of deleted scenes
  • Alternate Ending
  • Theatrical trailer
  • DVD-ROM content

No release date has been released yet for Constantine. Just be patient and have a smoke or two or fifty, kinda like Keanu Reeves’ character in this film. Lungs of steel on that man!

Well, that’s the latest DVD News for this week kiddies. Be sure to check back next week for another column on the most up-to-date information on upcoming horror DVDs…til’ next time…Keep the blood flowing!
