Dustin has a solo adventure in Stranger Things: Science Camp comic book

Between the events of seasons 2 and 3 of the Netflix series Stranger Things, the character Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) went off to a science camp called Camp Know Where, which is where he met his long distance girlfriend Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) – who shows up to sing a very memorable rendition of the theme song from THE NEVERENDING STORY with Dustin late in season 3.

As it turns out, falling for Suzie and working on science projects weren't the only notable experiences Dustin had at Camp Know Where. Comics publisher Dark Horse has announced that they will be releasing a four issue mini-series all about Dustin's time at the camp, a series appropriately titled Stranger Things: Science Camp.

The first issue has the following synopsis:

Terror at Camp Know Where!

Dustin arrives at Camp Know Where to navigate the new social hierarchy without the support of his Hawkins adventuring party. While also faced with nerdy bullies, a new menace haunts the young scientists and camp counselors. A mysterious figure with sinister intent arrives to disrupt the serene woodland scene. The solution won't take rocket science, but Dustin will have to get on the same wavelength as the other campers before tensions reach a boiling point.

Science Camp was written by Jody Houser, with Edgar Salazar on board as the penciller, Keith Champagne as the inker, and Marissa Louise as the colorist.

There are multiple covers available for the first issue, and these can be seen below. Judging by the artwork, it looks like there's going to be a bit of "camp slasher" action going on in this story.

Stranger Things: Science Camp #1 is set to reach store shelves on September 30th. Dark Horse has published several Stranger Things mini-series, and most of them have been written by Houser.
