Duff in 4th Poltergeist?

Sometimes there’s news out there that just doesn’t fit- news that seems so mad-capped and crazy that even after you hear it like 3 or 4 times, you still don’t believe it. Here’s one for the record books:



Super hot and recently legal teeny bopper pop idol Hilary Duff is reportedly in negotiations for the role of Carol Anne Freeling in the fourth installment of the POLTERGEIST series entitled POLTERGEIST: KAYERI! I’ll say it again: Hilary Duff. POLTERGEIST 4. As Carol Anne. Yeah. What… the hell!


Of course, it could all be bullshite, as this was first reported by radio station KISS 103.5 (according to the boys at Bloody Disgusting), so it could be a prank, or some sick Halloween joke gone way too far… but what if it’s not? What if the possiblity of another POLTERGEIST is real?


Word around the campfire is that Craig T. Nelson has already signed on for the sequel, whcih will undoubtedly commence after Sony takes over MGM.


Ok, I think it’s set in a little bit, and you know what… I can see it. I can see the late Heather O’Rourke looking a lot like Duff if she had ever grown up, so I suppose it’s not so much a stretch to have Duff reprise the role. Hmmm. Actually, what the hell am I thinking? This is just wrong on every account! It’s not right, I tell you, not right at all! We’ll keep you posted as this crazy ass news develops!
