In a long conversation with Alex Kurtzman, the shepherd of the new Universal Monsters franchise, a small group of journalists including our very own JimmyO got him to talk about the shape of the upcoming films. They discussed the possible involvement of the Creature from the Black Lagoon (in development!) and whether the monsters will be literary characters in the world of the films (no).

But we need to share the most important question with you verbatim. They discuss the fate of 2014's DRACULA UNTOLD in this brief but kind of hilarious exchange (the words in bold were spoken by the question-asker):

Dracula Untold. Canon or not?

No.

Good.
