There have been times when the wait for Rob Zombie's 31 has seemed frustratingly long, but it looks like the movie is all set now. It got a new poster, a trailer, and distributor Saban Films have scheduled it for a September 16th On Demand release, to be followed by an October 21st theatrical release.
Now a new couple new pieces of promotional material have arrived in the form of character posters. First up is a character poster for Doom-Head, played by Richard Brake. It makes sense that some of the marketing would center on this guy, as Zombie has previously hyped him up as being the "next great villain of horror".
Also now on his own character poster is Doom-Head's associate Psycho-Head, who's played by Lew Temple.
These are a couple of the madmen who terrorize
five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large secret compound known as Murder World. Once there, they have 12 hours to survive a terrifying game called 31 in which “The Heads” – murderous maniacs dressed as clowns – are released to hunt them down and kill them.
Co-starring with Brake and Temple are Sheri Moon Zombie, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Pancho Moler, Malcolm McDowell, Meg Foster, Judy Geeson, Jane Carr, Ginger Lynn, Daniel Roebuck, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Tracy Walter, E.G. Daily, Torsten Voges, David Ury, Bari Suzuki, Devin Sidell, and Kevin Jackson.
It's probably safe to assume that David Ury's Schizo-Head (pictured above) will be getting his own poster, too.
If everyone in the cast were to get a character poster, the entire lobbies of some theatres could be wallpapered with 31 posters.
