Don’t Go in The Woods, cause Vincent D’Onofrio’s in there killing and singing

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Tribeca Film has just released the first trailer for DON’T GO IN THE WOODS, the directorial debut of Vincent D’Onofrio (FULL METAL JACKET, MEN IN BLACK). He’s picked a bit of a strange hybrid film to start off- a slasher film musical. Yep, you read that right. Because what goes better than singing and killing? Nothing, that’s right- it’s like peanut butter and jelly.

They’ve just released the first trailer, which is embedded below. As you’ll see it tells the tale of a young and crappy band that heads to the woods to work on new material only to get worked over by a serial killer. You know, like always happens when you go off in the woods. When will people learn?

The film will hit VOD on December 26th before it gets a limited theatrical release in January 2012.

Also, below the trailer we have a new clip from the film that features what is perhaps the world’s first kill by keytar, in the time-honored “final girl stumbles across all of her dead friends in 2 minutes” scene.
