I get the feeling that there are things in the newly released red band trailer for director Fede Alvarez's home invasion nightmare DON'T BREATHE that we really shouldn't be seeing before watching the movie. While the trailer largely earns its red band status through the droppings of multiple F bombs, there is also some bloodshed in there, including a visual confirmation of one character's death, and glimpses of imagery that was probably meant to come as a surprise when it plays out on the big screen.
As interesting as the red band trailer is, I would advise resisting temptation and holding off from watching it.
Directed by Alvarez from a screenplay he wrote with Rodo Sayagues, produced by Sam Raimi, and starring Jane Levy, Daniel Zovatto, Dylan Minnette, and Stephen Lang, DON'T BREATHE has the following synopsis:
Three teens who get away with perfectly planned home robberies have set their sights on one last payout that will get them out of crime forever. Their target: a reclusive blind man with millions of dollars in hiding. But as soon as they break into his home, the tables are turned and they find themselves trapped and fighting for survival against a psychopath with secrets of his own.
