We've got an exclusive clip from director Tom DeNucci's VAULT that sees Don Johnson's Gerry demanding respect from Chazz Palminteri's Raymond Patriarca, a quiet storm of a man who's reluctant to give his associate his due.
Based on the legendary Bonded Vault heist of 1975, VAULT tells the story of a group of small time criminals in 1975 who attempt to pull off the biggest heist in American history; stealing over $30 million from the Mafia in the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island.
In addition to directing the intense crime drama, DeNucci also wrote the script alongside ALMOST MERCY scribe B. Dolan. With partial filming having gone down in Providence, VAULT has been set for a Rhode Island premiere on June 7, before extending its reach in theaters nationwide on June 14.
Starring alongside Johnson and Palminteri in the bank robbin', rat smellin' feature are Theo Rossi (Marvel's LUKE CAGE), Clive Standen (EVEREST), Samira Wiley (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), William Forsythe (DICK TRACY, HALLOWEEN), Vincent Pastore (THE SOPRANOS), Sean Ringgold (NOTORIOUS), and Chuck Zito (SONS OF ANARCHY), among others.
I might not know too much about what went down during the Bonded Vault heist of 1975, but Johnson's Gerry looks like he means business, and I would not want to be on the receiving end of his wrath should be anointed a made man.
