If you're not looking forward to Syfy's upcoming werwolf series "Bitten", then maybe "Dominion" will tickle your fancy instead? According to Variety, Syfy has given a series order to the high-octane fantasy drama “Dominion,” derived from the 2010 feature LEGION (pictured above).
The supernatural vehicle is set in the futuristic year 25 A.E. and revolves around battles between good and evil angels in what used to be Las Vegas. It has a genre-friendly ensemble cast that includes Christopher Egan, Tom Wisdom, Roxanne McKee, Alan Dale, Anthony Stewart Head and Luke Allen-Gale.
Dominion picks up in the aftermath of a catastrophic war between an army of angels and mankind that has transformed the world. Set against a backdrop of the ultimate celestial battle as it touches down on earth, the series follows the perilous journey of Alex Lannen (Egan), a rebellious young soldier who discovers he’s the unlikely savior of humanity.
Vaun Wilmott wrote the pilot for Universal Cable Prods. and Bold Films. LEGION helmer and co-writer Scott Stewart directed the “Dominion” pilot which sees Wilmott and Stewart exec produce along with Michel Litvak and David Lancaster of Bold Films, producer of LEGION.
