DON'T KILL IT, the demon-hunting supernatural thriller that unites the 80's action badass Dolph Lundgren with the bonkers genre filmmaker Mike Mendez (BIG-ASS SPIDER, LAVALANTULA), has just dropped a massive payload of incredible materials. In addition to an image gallery depicting the blank-eyed demonic evil Lundgren will be facing off against, we get a trailer showing us another glimpse at the crazed energy of the project. You can check them both out below!
Says Mike Mendez on Lundgren's role:
I think Dolph saw an opportunity to really show a different side of himself. I think there’s more dialog in this movie than all of his films combined in the ’80s and ’90s. He’s got pages, and pages, and pages, of dialog. That really excited him, because he is a smart guy. He’s got a 160 IQ, he’s got a master’s degree in chemical engineering. I think it was really great for him to not play either the crazed psycho, or the silent tough guy, but play a kind of clumsy, backwoods, whiskey-swilling drunkard.
Scripted by BODY's Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, DON'T KILL IT shows what happens when:
an ancient demon is accidentally unleashed in a sparsely populated Alaskan town, and the only hope of survival lies in the hands of a grizzled old demon hunter Jebediah Woodley and his reluctant partner FBI agent Evelyn Pierce.
The cast also includes Kristina Klebe (Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN), Miles Doleac (American Horror Story), and Courtney Gains (CHILDREN OF THE CORN). DON'T KILL IT will premiere at Fantastic Fest on September 24th.
